What is POLYCET?

A Polytechnic Entrance Test conducted by State Board of Technical Education & Training. A.P. for admission into Govt. Private aided and Polytechnics running in Private Engg colleges in the State, which offer Diploma Courses in various Engineering ! Non-Engineering Branches.

Who can apply for this examination? 

All the candidates who have passed S.S.C. or its equivalent examination recognized by Board of Secondary Education A.P. and who are going to appear for ensuing such examination can also apply for this examination. (Candidates passed compartmentally are also eligible to apply).

Prospects & chances of Higher Education

Candidates who successfully complete the diploma Course in Engineering can be obsorbed into various organisations at the Supervisory level in their relevant field or Engineering. They can appear for ECET to seek admission into II year of B.E./B.Tech in Private Engineering Colleges. 20% seats are exclusively reserved for these candidates. Candidates who successfully complete the diploma course in Non-Engineering can also join into Degree courses for their higher education. They will have various selfemployment opportunities Apprentice training with a stipend of Rs. 3560/- in Government of Andhra Pradesh / Government of India offices and undertakings will be given for Successful Engineering / Non- Engineering Candidates.

How to apply for POLYCET 2018

Candidate should apply through ONLINE only. Candidate Aadhaar number registration is compulsory. Availability of application forms along with instruction booklet can be downloaded from any net centre or website : WWW. sbtetap.gov.in | Helpline centre/AP Online filled in application can be REGISTERED in any of the helpline centre (Mentioned in Polycet booklet)/AP onlinele-seva/through payment gateway on or before the due date.
85,000 seats are available in 26 Engg. / Non Engg. Courses in about 304 Polytechnics in all over the state, which are available in POLYCET Booklet. As per Government Orders state wide institutions in Telangana State ailot seats for Andhra candidates (Non-Local).

Examination Pattern of POLYCET : 

The subjects of Maths, Physics and Chemistry of Current X Class syllabus, Question paper is objective type (Multiple Choice), and consists of 120 questions (Maths60, Physics-30 and Chemistry - 30) to be answered in 2 hours (120 minutes) on OMR (Optical Mark Reader) Sheet.
